Artisan series is a line of intermediate electric basses made by Cort Guitars. This series deals with solid, double-cut basses with modern design, super solid construction and top-shelf hardware. All of the models from this series offer unbelievable versatility, as they can be used for virtually any music genre and sub-genre. Some models from this series even reach into the upper intermediate class, as the A5 Custom Z does. This model comes with a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany wings and maple/wenge neck center. Instead of spalt maple (found on A5 Custom SP), this one features gorgeous zebra wood caps over the mahogany wings. Hipshot bridge and a standard combo of pickups are installed on the top. 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood completes the specs.
