Being a professional composer who travels a lot, I needed a MIDI keyboard that was small enough to load into my back pack and had the enough options that would get me going about my work without any compromise. This MIDI controller is velocity sensitive and can be changed based on the material you plan to writ for.The Keystation Mini 32 was perfect. As long as one doesn't have large fingers the small keys on this unit gets the job done well.Because of its small form factor, there is not much you can do when you are looking at assigning multiple knobs to control virtual instruments or DAW, though I wish they could have added a few extra knobs or sliders for some realtime control.Apart from that, you have basic MIDI controls i.e. modulation, octave +/- . and pitch bend. This is also comparable with iPad using the Apple camera connection sold separately, so you can make music on the go.
