The Upright Bass / Double Bass is the symphony orchestra's biggest and lowest-pitched bowed string instrument. It is used to play low musical sounds called "bass lines" in various styles of music such as Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country and many more.
The Upright Bass/ Double Bass is not a part of the traditional guitar family of instruments, unlike the Bass guitar.
