Good strings for drop tuning

Great strings!

Perfect for down tuning and drop tunings. Especially good for drop D, Db and C but anything lower you'll need heavier gauge. If you wanna tune higher, do adjust your truss rod first, even for E standard otherwise it'll be really stiff to play.

Great set of strings

I play down in Drop C with a 24.75 inch scale length guitar, which means regular strings (10-46) become way too sloppy. So I made a switch to using this D'Addario set with the same sized high strings (much slack and hence easier for leads) but much heavier bottom strings (perfect for retaining regular tension). Now I'm totally into this particular set and order this everytime. P.S. These may damage your neck if you tune higher, do adjust your guitar neck.
