This was my first guitar and it has been nothing but amazing. The look and feel of the instrument is second to none in this price range. You get an amazing matched grain on the Mahogany body, the scarf neck is smooth- no knots in the maple. The fretboard is great! The hardware seems reliable and I never had tuning issues with the unit yet so the tuners and bridge are doing its job well. The pickups are great- bridge is a hot pup and can easily be used for metal: the clarity could be a little better. The neck is great for clean parts, works great for leads.However, there are a few things you need to know about this device. The body is at least 3-5 pieces of mahogany glued together, the tone sustain seems to be less comparatively. The 5 way switch has a black plastic cover- which does not look great at all with the overall design you can just remove it, the body will have to be modified. The hardware(bridge, pickup rings, control knobs) seem to lose their shine overtime tuning blackish. The neck warped over the year making playing on the higher frets difficult you can get that fixed by getting it serviced.The truss rod does not seem to move much I have to struggle a lot to set it up.You dent it, there is no hiding it. Mahogany is a soft wood and the finish is not think enough coz its an oil finished guitar. SO BE CAREFUL. Overall, you get what you pay for. Its a great first guitar but if you have the budget or plan to save up some more, you should consider some of Ibanezs mid ranged options other brands offering in this range are great as well.Bajaao will help you find something that will suit you needs.I love this guitar Upgraded the bridge with a set of BareKnuckle Nailbomb I happy with it!
