Great sounding speakers with a smooth and silky top end from the ribbon tweeters. These are a budget pair to the AX7s which are one of the worlds best sounding speakers I've ever heard. I haven't done acoustic treatment for the room yet, so I can't comment on their reference sound or mixing potential. But overall to my trained ears these are very very neutra sounding, no bumped up treble like JBLs or a boomy mid-bass section. Just flat sound ! As a result so far they work great for getting a mix to translate to other systems for me.
