Crown recently added its new PIP-BLU Programmable Input Processor (PIP) card to its line of CT Series amplifiers.
Using the PIP-BLU, users can set up digital audio all the way to the amplifiers without having to employ layers of complex gear and cabling. Crown says the PIP-BLU is compatible with its CT Series 2-channel amps built after April 2011. Once installed, the add-on provides BSS Audio Soundweb London digital audio bus functionality along with analog inputs and outputs. The device also provides an RJ-45 Ethernet jack for remote configuration, control and monitoring, as well as digital audio bus channel from the amp for the listen channel. The card employs Harman’s HiQnet protocol and it’s configured and monitored through the use of HiQnet London Architect.
