Its a very good guitar with excellent play-ability.I am not a professional guitarist, however have owned and played the Yamaha 30X series in the past.This one has a superb tone (maybe the solid spruce top) and sounds equally good. Its like owning some real big brand.Haven't tested the pick-up, but using it as an acoustic for now, Its an excellent guitar for the offered price.It a good buy if it fit your budget.Cheers
