Taylor 418e Grand Orchestra Acoustic-Electric Guitar
The Taylor 400 series allows players to enjoy solid African ovangkol's responsive, rosewood-like tone, which pairs beautifully with Sitka spruce and will satisfy a wide range of players. Each instrument comes standard with a three-ring rosette, a tortoise pickguard and white binding that applies a crisp complement against the mottled brown hues of ovangkol. New for 2015, all of the Taylor 400 series instruments now feature a beautiful full-gloss body finish, Italian acrylic dot fingerboard inlays, and Taylor's premium Expression System 2 electronics for peerless plugged-in performance.
The powerful, complex voice of Taylor's Grand Orchestra body pairs beautifully with African ovangkol and Sitka spruce to produce a well-balanced sound with a surprising dynamic range. Despite its larger body, the 418e is incredibly versatile and delivers great sound for a wide range of styles whether you're playing massive cowboy chords or soft, elegant fingerstyle arrangements. The neck is carved from tropical mahogany into Taylor's superbly comfortable profile while an ebony fretboard provides exceptional playability from the first fret to the last. Whether you're recording in the studio, playing a small coffee shop gig, or playing on stage in a mix with other instruments, the onboard Taylor Expression System 2 electronics will faithfully convey the 418e's natural acoustic voice through any acoustic amplifier or PA system. A set of Taylor nickel tuners, a Tusq nut, and an ebony bridge with a Micarta saddle round out this beautiful, stage-ready package. Includes hardshell case.
