What I like about this pedal:[1] robust design [2] auto-record [3] exact bmp tempo can be set [4] ability to export loops as .wav files (useful for backups and in case you interested further processing in a DAW [5] external tracks can also be imported to overdub on it.What I don't like:[1] the built-in drum patterns are very basic (just for keeping time) [2] internal drum beats don't get saved in the .wav file [3] the loop up/down button is counter-intuitive to me. I would like the up button to decrease the track number; however, this is solved if I use the up/down buttons of the footswitch (to be bought separately). Consider the FS3X footswitch for better convenience, especially if you are looking to use the pedal live. [4] Doesn't operate on batteries (however, I have heard there are USB to 9v adapters that allows mobile battery banks to power pedals - will try it soon). [5] The JamMangaer XT library software (for loop management) is a bit awkward to use.See this for a detailed Q&A on this pedal: http://loopermusic.com/digitech-jamman-solo-xt-looper-review/
