The Best Keyboard for any type of music..
Kronos is undoubtedly the absolute best music workstation keyboard in the world right now. No other keyboard is even close to this "beast" at this point, even though price-wise its the cheapest in its class among other "flagship" products like MOTIF, Jupiter, etc. But, the sound quality and features in this thing makes it the heart of your gear by being not only the ultimate live performer but also as the ultimate music production tool as well. I recently bought the 61 key version and I am yet to explore the full depth of its functionality. But I can say a few things about the Kronos 2 at this point:1. Don't be fooled by the picture. For some reason, the pictures over here and Korg's website make it look a lot smaller than what it actually is. 2. Sound quality is just awesome. Every instrument sounds incredibly realistic especially the grand pianos. The only problem I find is regarding the sounds of the accoustic string instruments like steel stringed guitars, dulcimer and especially our very own sitar which sounds like it was sampled from the electric version (old not so popular instrument - just google "electric sitar" to know about it) of the same. The sitar and Dulcimer in Apple's Logic Pro X is far superior to whats in here. Other sounds like orchestral stuff are all awesome. 3. Realistic accompaniment thanks to KARMA. This is the best thing that happened to any keyboard ever. The sounds gets taken to a whole new level with it and the accompaniment part is much better than any other keyboard because unlike other arpeggiators where it keeps playing the given patterns, KARMA appears to make subtle modifications to the patterns that it plays to match the player so that on the overall it feels really close to having the actual band to play with rather than just a machine. 4. The Keybed: even though Korg says its a synth action keys for the 61 key version, in reality it does feel like hammer action but with less weight - hence the term semi-weighted. This ...
