Excellent Guitar

I had been looking for the best possible guitar in this price range for daily shows. I narrowed it down to 5 different models: Yamaha FG700S, Fender CD-140S, Mitchell MD100S, Ibanez AW50, and the slightly more expensive Alvarez AD30. After extensively trying them all out, I came to the conclusion that the Fender was definitely the best all-around guitar for the money. The Alvarez sounded just as good but I didn't want to spend the extra money on it as I set a cap of $200. The Yamaha came in at a very close second. And the others, while good sounding, didn't have the fullness of sound I was looking for. For the money, this guitar comes with a lot of features available only on more expensive models. The top is solid spruce (although I'm not sure what variety of spruce) and is very nicely grained and book-matched. The quality of construction is very good and the finish is also very nice. What I feel makes the biggest difference in the sound of this guitar: which is very open with excellent bass and really good balance across the spectrum, is the scalloped bracing and the Nubone nut & saddle. This guitar will only sound better as it ages and even now, rings like a bell. So many people have given the Yamaha FG700S such high ratings and for good reason, it's an excellent guitar, but after playing the Fender, it just didn't quite have the quality of sound that the CD-140S did. It's definitely not in the same league as my high-end Guild, but it's surprisingly good nonetheless. Definitely a keeper!

I had been looking for the best sounding guitar in this price less than 20k .After extensive search , Fender was definitely the best guitar for the money. The ibanez sounded just as good but Yamaha really was worth a try . And the others, while good sounding, didn't have the fullness of sound I was looking for. THis is complete value for money that i paid this guitar comes with a lot of features available only on more expensive models. The top is Solid Spruce Top and with an amazing finish the biggest difference in the sound of this guitar is the decider as compaed to the others in the same price range This guitar is very open with excellent lows and really good balance across the spectrum, . This guitar will only sound better as you keep playing . After playing the Fender, i did realise difference btw the other brands in same price category Its surely is a surprise good nonetheless. Definitely a good guitar to buy :)
