Bass Guitars

A Bass Guitar is used to play basslines that act as supporting notes for other instruments. Bass Guitars are also the lowest pitched members of the Guitar family.

Why is the Bass Guitar so important?

The main role of a bass guitar is - Supporting the harmony of a song and dictating the sound of chords we hear. It also makes the overall sound much more wholesome and full.

Is the Bass easier than an Acoustic or Electric Guitar?

Even though the bass guitar has four strings compared with the electric guitar's six, but that doesn't make it any easier to play or learn. It is a different instrument and is played differently from the Acoustic or Electric Guitar.

How to choose the right Bass Guitar?

Things to note while picking your Bass Guitar -

4 String bass is most popular for Beginners.

Passive pickups are more commonly used. Active pickups are battery-powered and provide pre-amplification to the bass sound which provides stronger signal and  better presence while passive pickups do not.

What is the difference between 4 String, 5 String & 6 String Bass Guitar?

(Five string Bass guitars have one extra string, which adds a lower B string for additional bass range)

(Six String Bass guitars are tuned like a four-string bass with an additional low B-string and an additional high C-string)

What is the difference between Passive Pickups & Active Pickups?

Active Pickups are battery-powered & have a Preamp to process sound just like an amp does, which results in a stronger signal & higher output.

Passive Pickups are not battery powered, which result in a weaker signal and lower overall output.
