Fender Road Worn '60s Stratocaster Electric Guitar

The Stratocaster really came into its own in the 1960s, with players coaxing unbelievable sounds from it amid punishing stage shows and grueling tours. Beaten, bruised and even burned, they only got better as the years wore on - looking even cooler and feeling even more comfortable. Fender's new rosewood-freeboard Road Worn '60s Stratocaster delivers that aged look and feel - built to look, sound and feel like it has more than just a few miles on it. Designed with 1960s specs, including a nitrocellulose-lacquer finish and 6105 frets, and supercharged with Tex-Mex pickups.

Fender Road Worn '60s Stratocaster Specifications:

  • Loaded with Tex-Mex Single-Coil Strat pickups, this model offers the hotter tones associated with over-wound vintage pickups.
  • Equipped with Dunlop 6105 Narrow Jumbo frets, this model offers easier chording and string-bending than similarly radiuses vintage necks.
  • Mint green pickguard, and aged knobs, pickup covers and switch tip complement the distressed finish.

A good relic'd strat

Don't get fooled by the Mexican serial number. This relic Strat ain't no gimmick.
Features: It has almost everything that a 60s Strat had. A 'C' neck profile, Fretboard radius of 7-1/4", Nitrocellulose lacquer paint, Alder body. It is equipped with Tex Mex pickups (I swapped it with SSL-1 due to taste). But those who prefer hot output may keep it.
Sound: With the Tex Mex in it, plug it into a TubeScreamer & Fender Vibroverb and you'll instantly get the recognizable SRV tones. The guitar plays like cream! Fit for almost all genres, it is like a guitarist's swiss Army knife.
Make & Durability: It comes with a soft case & I recommend buying a hard case. The neck is smooth & relic job is impressive. The guitar stays in tune even after whammy bar abuse(once you get the bridge setup by a good tech). The 7.25'' rad board needs a higher action, but very easy to get used to. It feels and sounds like US strats even without mods
