It's been a couple of years now since I bought this beaut in Butterscotch Blonde. A great beginner to intermediate level guitar, especially if you're into blues and rock'n'roll (think Jimmy Page in Led Zeppelin I and II; plus the solo from Stairway). My guitar needed a setup, as do most mass produced budget guitars. Finish was excellent, the neck is really nice, though a bit narrower than the usual Tele necks. That, of course, is a feature of the Squier Affinity series. Fret finishing wasn't the best, but poses no hindrance while playing. Pickups are decent, sound great with my Boss Katana. The twang of the bridge pickup may not be to everyone's taste on the clean channel. But add a little crunch and they sound surprisingly good, with that characteristic Telecaster bite. Buying this guitar also taught me how to make full use of the volume and tone knobs. Keep in mind that the Telecaster was the first solid body electric guitar, and hence the simplest. it's basically a block of wood with two single coils and a volume and tone knob. But once you start fiddling with the knobs, you realise the its wide tonal range. Tonally, to me at least, it perfectly bridges the gap between a Strat and a Les Paul. It's been two years, and I have no major complaints, really. The tuners do their job. They could be better, but for this price point that would be asking too much. If you're looking to play really high gain stuff, the single coil hum would not be ideal. Better go for a. guitar with humbuckers. But if, like me, Blues and good old Rock'n'Roll floats your boat, you will not be disappointed. This block of wood has grown on me.
Ok I've only had this guitar for 10 days now but so far it's great. The bridge pickup gives clean tones, neck pickup gives u that blunt energy vibe. The build is great and the guitar is comfortable to hold. Undoubtedly one of the best guitars in this range
The guitar is a great value-for-money buy. I personally did not need to set it up, it sounded good right out the box. The bridge pickup has a nice twang and the neck pickup has a nice fat tone. The neck has a great, smooth satin finish. Delivery by bajaao was great, received the order a couple days ahead of the expected delivery date. The packing was good and there were no imperfections on the guitar.
This is one of the best guitars out there, for beginners and pros alike.
I have been using it since 3months and played it in many gigs and studio works, the tones are very good that it delivers, I must say what I expect from a Tele this beast delivers it pretty well. I am fully satisfied and you should be too. A total budget buy. Thanks to bajaao for proper packaging and timely delivery.
This Fender Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar, Black from Bajaao which I bought some where in the mid Feb this year, is an excellent guitar. I've played it several times and is the best compared to some other guitars which I have with me. The tone is good. But later I've also bought another Vault LP MN 1 guitar on sale, and it sucks. The sound from this one was good, but the frets is not properly made. lots of problems of its manufactuer/finishing can't explain everything in detail in writings. But the Fender Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar is really good.
