The AZ22S2 features a maple top on an alder body bolted to a roasted maple neck with a jatoba fingerboard with 22 stainless steel frets and white dot position markers. Components include Ibanez Classic Custom pickups mounted in a white pearloid pickguard with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the neck and middle positions, a T106 six-screw tremolo bridge, a plastic nut, a mono-unit side jack with integrated plate, and Ibanez locking tuning machines.
