purchased this brilliant all in one controller about 5 months ago and wanted to be dead sure before writing a review. to start with its very convenient to use it as an all in one dj gear - right from controller based playing with laptop or using it traditionally. I think Pioneer nailed the combo just right. I must say that the ios app rekordbox is the most unique feature that serves as an added benefit. I get to control the fx section and that too through the standard xy motion. I'm primarily using it with virtual dj - Its gona be discontinued soon so get it if you serious about classic pioneer gear.

All in one that's the name on the official website of pioneer and it lives up to the name. USB, MIDI, CD and WiFi is what it makes the pioneer XDJ R1 the All in one controller. The controller is bundled with Virtual Dj Limited Edition software, Just plug and play. You can play CD, USB wirelessly using iOS devices. The auto beat loop feature automatically loops music at a specified tempo. The XDJ R1 has a robust body and a clean finish, the lights and the knobs on the controller are good and looks premium. This a perfect device for young budding DJ's who would like to upgrade their current console.

I personally have used this mean machine and if the price tag goes down by 6 odd grands, I see this to be the highest sellin equipment in the country. Bye bye CDJs as far as private events are concerned.
