To start it off. Yes I’m a audiophile. Yes I have great headphones better than this. But these headphones are pure gold. My favorite, I don’t know why exactly. They just hit the spot. Light weight great sound.... words escape me. Just buy them.
I own a lot of headphones, and the 60x has quickly become one of my favorites. A balanced, musical sound with an emphasis on accuracy.....meaning no emphasis on bass, treble, and very detailed. For an on ear headphone, it is also extremely comfortable.
Highs are nicely defined and crisp. And they are comfortable to wear for hours at a time, which was a key selling point for me, since I use them in an office environment.
Very comfortable despite the on-ear design and well constructed, I've even worn them for a work out on occasion when I forget my earbuds, and I didn't feel like were rattling around or anything.
For casual listening they are clear and the sound is spacious without that annoying "floaty" effect I have noticed in some other brands
the headphones don't fold up as the 50/50X, but they are more lightweight and don't put as much pressure on head and ears, that being said they are on ear and it has taken some adjustment. They breath good on ears no issues there. Build feels sturdy, metal frame is thin with wires exposed so only time will tell how they wear.
I took a star off because the build quality & materials don't match the price tag. This quality should be for the m40x price range. Also it's not comfortable & I need to spend more on earpads to improve its comfort.
One of the better purchases I've made in a while. Sound quality far outperforms some of the more mainstream options like Bose or Beats. It is surprisingly very good at noise isolating without having active noise cancellation, plus it has very little leakage even though I tend to play music at higher volumes.
