A good amp for an introduction to tube amps.

I've had this amp for around 2 years, had bought it at an amazing discount and when Bugeras were new in the catalogue and so got it for a steal.. It was the first tube amp in the catalogue then which had valves in both the pre and power amp section, which was an important criterion for me, and the cheapest at the point in time, which was another.The tone is similar to the Fender amp the V5 looks to emulate, which is good.. Being a 5 watt amp means there isn't sufficient headroom, but then no 5 watt amp does have that. The attenuator is very responsive and you can get good practice volumes at 0.1 Watt output.. The 5 Watt output is very loud for a small room.. The tubes maintain well, it' sturdy and well made, and it does what is expected for such a small amp admirably well. Don't expect fireworks and you won't be disappointed.. The clean sound is warm and rich after the tubes heat up.
