Just Perfect!
A compact nice looper pedal with many features. Can compare with BOSS RC-3 but with half of its price. The inbuilt drum beats are not good.
What I like about this pedal:[1] robust design [2] auto-record [3] exact bmp tempo can be set [4] ability to export loops as .wav files (useful for backups and in case you interested further processing in a DAW [5] external tracks can also be imported to overdub on it.What I don't like:[1] the built-in drum patterns are very basic (just for keeping time) [2] internal drum beats don't get saved in the .wav file [3] the loop up/down button is counter-intuitive to me. I would like the up button to decrease the track number; however, this is solved if I use the up/down buttons of the footswitch (to be bought separately). Consider the FS3X footswitch for better convenience, especially if you are looking to use the pedal live. [4] Doesn't operate on batteries (however, I have heard there are USB to 9v adapters that allows mobile battery banks to power pedals - will try it soon). [5] The JamMangaer XT library software (for loop management) is a bit awkward to use.See this for a detailed Q&A on this pedal: http://loopermusic.com/digitech-jamman-solo-xt-looper-review/
Solo players can do pre recorded tracks of your own original songs from your recordings and showcase your artistry. Great pedal for solo artists to get there loops tracks to sound like song.
This is a great looper and has all the bells and whistles - unlimited overdubs, reverse play, tempo/rhythm guides etc ... including the much necessary undo/redo function. The main strengths of this looper are; 1> The fact that you can make 200 loops internally and a total of 400 loops (by adding a memory card). You can switch between them during playback seamlessly and in sync. The makes for more possibilities than one needs for live use and even otherwise.2> The Jamsync feature which allows you to send/receive a pulse signal to/from another Jamsync device (be it other Jamman class loopers or even other devices with this capability) making the loopers/ devices capable of matching tempos without a glitch. This is just a standout feature which is not available on other loopers in the market. The others rely on MIDI syncing which hasn't proved to be successful at all times but the Jamsync has infact given 100% syncing results with no issues. There is word that the Jamsync signal can be converted to MIDI 5 DIN which expands this already fantastic sync feature of the looper.
