With a reduced size ES body and a pair of Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers pickups, the Epiphone eClub 2014 ES-339 Semi-hollowbody has one foot in the past and one in the future, for a combination that is both instantly recognisable and refreshingly new Body With its smaller dimensions, the Epiphone eClub 2014 ES-339 brings the coveted, ES-style, bell-like tone together with the easy handling of a solid body.
Making up the body is laminated maple, with a solid centre block, which is then finished with the classic Vintage Sunburst finish and a black pickguard adorned with an Epiphone “E” metal insignia Neck Hand-set with a mortise and tenon neck joint and glued-in with Titebond glue, the mahogany neck of the Epiphone eClub 2014 ES 339 is shaped to the SlimTaper “D” profile.
This makes up the guitar’s 24.75” scale, along with a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays This features a single-ply cream binding that continues along the body.
This fantastically playable neck is sandwiched between a LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, and the Epiphone ES339 Electric Guitar’s headstock, which is equipped with a set of “Deluxe” tuners with tulip style buttons Electronics Continuing the theme of old meets new, the Epiphone eClub 2014 ES 339 is equipped with a pair of, as the name suggests, Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbucker pickups.
