The Fender Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster retains many of the original specs that made '60s Teles cherished by players and collectors alike. This Telecaster features the classic alder body that set the standard for solid body guitar style. Former Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Chris Fleming has taken his previous design for the Classic Player Baja Telecaster and upgraded it with full-on 1960s features and vibe, including a rosewood fingerboard and a comfortable '60s "C"-shaped neck profile.
Players love to customize their Fender guitars, and for this model, Fender has taken care of some of the mods for you. The rosewood fingerboard has been re-shaped into a 9.5" radius which facilitates clean, effortless string bending anywhere along the neck, without the worry of your notes "fretting out" as you go into the upper registers. This custom fingerboard is topped off with 21 medium Jumbo frets for luxurious playability.
Fender has outfitted the Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster with a perfect combination of single-coil pickups from various eras. Its double-threat pickup configuration includes an American Vintage '52 Tele neck pickup and a'58 Tele bridge pickup.
A 4-position S-1 switch allows for expanded tonal flexibility. Choose between pickup configurations wired in Series or Parallel.
