A guitar doesn't have to cost a bundle to sound good. The GIO series was developed for players who want Ibanez quality in a more affordable package. Not only do they look and play better than everything else in their price range, but their rigorous inspection, set-up and warranty is the same as Ibanez's more expensive models.

The Ibanez GRG170DXL is a left-handed RG Gio Series electric guitar designed for smooth playability and versatile tones. Featuring a double-cutaway body, fast neck, and humbucker–single–humbucker pickup configuration, it delivers crisp cleans, powerful riffs, and soaring solos. Features

T102 tremolo: The T102 bridge with 10.5mm string spacing allows easier picking across strings.
Infinity R / Infinity RS H-S-H pickups: Ibanez Infinity pickups deliver an accurate and tight sound with excellent dynamics. Even under heavy settings, they do not lose tonal clarity.
Mono-unit output jack: The mono-unit output jack is made of solid, durable material and is a single piece to avoid unwanted movement and loosening of the jack, which leads to contact failure or disconnection. This innovation allows for long term playing enjoyment and minimal maintenance.
Maple neck: The Maple neck provides stability and bright tonal character.
Purpleheart fretboard: The Purpleheart fretboard emphasizes the beauty and the rich tonal character of this guitar.

Why We Love This

Ultra‑Comfortable Playability: This guitar’s slim, fast neck and double-cutaway body make it incredibly easy to play, especially up high on the fretboard. My fingers move naturally, even through long practice sessions.
Versatile Tone in Every Style: With its HSH pickup setup, I can dial in everything from warm cleans to aggressive rock leads. It handles bluesy licks and heavy riffs equally well—greatly versatile.
Feels Solid and Reliable: Despite its low price tag, it’s impressively sturdy. The fretwork is smooth, the tuning is dependable, and the finish doesn’t look or feel cheap at all.
Looks Great, Too: The metallic finish and sleek design stand out. It’s not just a good-playing guitar—it’s one that people comment on when they see it hanging on a stand.

Great guitar. Simply lovely it!

Fantastic guitar at an affordable cost. Works well for both intermediate and professional guitarists and compete with many other brands which are priced high and have the same or less features. I feel like a rockstar!!!!

Blessed.....fabulous guitar and good service by bajaao..

Being left handed guitarist u have to compromise alot....but after seeing ibanez grg170dxl I never have that thought....it's a complete package....bajaao did very good job at a decent prize ..also their standard delivery is very good....my guitar came in perfect condition...loved it....also I bought my amp with bajaao express....it came in nearly 3 days...great work guys...

Great guitar!

Being a left hander, you don't have many choices in this price range. I bought this in September 2013. I was confused between this guitar and a Squier Affinity Strat, but ended up buying this. This is my first and only electric guitar. The thin neck is great and it really helps to play fast. The frets are smooth, and the tuners also keep the strings in tune well enough. The humbucking pickups cancel most of the noise, even when using distortion, so it's great on stage too.The pickups have a nice, fat sound, and sound great with overdrive and distortion.Since it doesn't have locking tuners, the strings do go out of tune under heavy usage of the tremolo. The guitar doesn't have a pickguard, so it's prone to getting scratches, but that shouldn't be much of a problem.I dropped it once on a really rough surface, and apart from losing a little chip of the surface, the guitar remains solid.Overall, it's a great guitar and will serve you long enough until you buy your next instrument ;-). Highly recommended as a first buy too!

Go for it

I bought mine in 2011 for 14000 approx. I've used it with a line 6 spider IV 15 watt. Its tough to choose guitars being left handed and you probably want to choose one that can stay there for a long time.PROS:looks f'n goodgreat for distortionthe tone selector really gives a lot of variation for clean and crunch (not for high gain), you might get good blues sound from the mid pickup finishing is decentCONSwhammy bar..use it less...detuning is a common problemApart from that, if you're a lefty like me and this is your first 'electric' guitar.. just go for it ..

awesome

Still the bestUnique for meSounds goodFinishing goodGood price

I received a broken guitar!!!

first of all it took about a month to get my guitar delivered though i opted for priority shipping. Then to my surprise, the guitar at back of the neck, was broken and it had scratches over the back of the tuning peg as well. And now i have to send it back to bajaao for review but the pick up from my house has not been done yet. So far my experience with bajaao has not been good.
