Its a great tube amp and has really good quality tubes in it, the tone is very warm and you can easily get a good john mayer type blues sound from it. Even though it just has a tone knob its pretty versatile if you want to experiment in your clean tone. Its a great amp for blues/rock/jazz players, I personally don't think its made for very high gain sounds, it sounds amazing with a tube screamer type pedal or clean boosters. Its a very clean amp even on the hi input, the tone is overall somewhere between a fender and a vox, specially the mids are really sweet and the tone isnt harsh at all and cuts through the mix really well.
