Washburn Taurus T12 is my first decent bass. I have been using one since January 2011. I have been playing a bass with a similar pickup configuration when I decided to upgrade my gear. The bass is no nonsense, the pickups provided is good in its category. Its ideal for playing vintage rock and pop. Although I have played Iron Maiden and also played a few metal gigs before going for a 5 stringer. Still this bass remains one of my favorite and very close to my heart. I have modded this with Di Marzio DB122 pickup and the bass plays like a truly professional instrument. The action and intonation is best in class and playability is fantastic. If you are planning to pick up a p bass for pop/classic rock, i would suggest you go through this and you wont even consider Fender P basses at the same price range.
