Fills that match the groove
Dr. Fill analyzes a drum loop and creates fills using only the hits contained in that loop. Because every sound comes from the source audio, each fill carries the same kit, room and playing feel as the groove it leads out of, with no mismatched samples layered on top. Users can capture audio directly from a DAW track, import a loop, or work from the built-in library.
Ninety fills, or describe your own
After detecting tempo, swing and the individual kit pieces, Dr. Fill offers 90 fills across five pages: kit-style rudiments and rolls, producer-style chops, stutters and tape stops, and fills inspired by famous drumming styles. Each one auditions as a two-bar phrase so it can be judged in context. If none fits, a text prompt lets users describe the fill they want, such as a laid-back soul fill or a gospel run into a crash, and Dr. Fill builds it from the loop.
From plug-in to timeline
Finished fills export as WAV at up to 96 kHz, or as MIDI mapped for Superior Drummer, Addictive Drums 2, Slate Drums, BFD, General MIDI and more. Starter loops from respected session drummers are included, and the plug-in runs offline after a one-time activation.
