Solid build. Gets the job done although the software is not that great. Had to input the commands 4-5 times. It's a hassle. But once it's done it works flawlessly.If I had to nitpick I would also say a normal foot switch would've been better as the foot switches on this are really small and when you wear boots you don't really feel if you have pressed it, it's not tactile. You can't really put third party foot switch toppers as well. Other than that it is a great unit. I use it on my Boss RC 5 looper and it works great with DAWS as well as apps like Bias Fx and Neural DSP Archetypes.

Got it to use with my Bias FX. Does the job, but it takes some patience and time to take the MIDI bull by the horns and figure out all the nuances of getting it to work as you'd like to, as it is so customisable.

This review is mixed for a few reasons. The most important is that the quality of the unit is excellently rugged, and Blackstar's support has been tremendous. Yet, I've had issues struggling to implement custom MIDI to my live/studio needs - more of a drawback of my limited experience in the complicated/unintuitive MIDI standard. Another issue is that I ordered this piece in April, but it took 4 months to receive the order, after a nightmare lack of response from Bajaao response for months. In the end, the order was received and the process was a positive one, but it wasn't the smoothest order of my 25-year Internet career! The unit is well worth considering for a versatile, affordable, durable midi footswitch controller - just put in the time to customise it the way you want/ need.
