Ernie Ball 2817 Power Slinky Flatwound Electric Bass Guitar Strings - .050-.110 Overview: Ernie Ball Slinky Flatwound Short Scale Bass Strings combine the smooth feel of traditional flatwounds and the power of Cobalt. Featuring a Cobalt ribbon wrap, Cobalt underwraps and optimal hex-core to wrap ratio, the new Flatwound Short Scale bass strings are the first flat that actually feels like a flat and sounds like a round.
Designed to fit 30" to 30.5" scale basses, the string length is 48" with a taper at 32.5". Gauges: .050, .070, .090, .110 FLAT FEEL Patented Cobalt alloy ribbon wrap wire is precisely polished to provide the smoothest possible feel with the least amount of finger noise. ROUND SOUND Our Cobalt alloy ribbon provides a remarkably vibrant tone not commonly found with traditional flatwounds.
SHORT SCALE Sets have been specifically tailored for short scale basses featuring a 32.5" taper length and gauge combinations optimized for lower tension.
