I couldn't be happier. I have already strongly recommended the GMAD kick batter head to other drummers. It sounds great un-mic'd. I haven't had a chance to play it yet live with a mic, but I have no doubt from the natural sound that it will mic up perfectly and save me lots of time messing with EQ during sound check.I wouldn't normally expect to rate features on a drum head, but the GMAD kick drum batter head actually has features in the insertable dampening rings. And, I can say that they do exactly what Evans advertises. They also throw in a reinforcing patch for the batter head. Nice touch.Well made, no question.A few bucks more than a standard head, but worth every penny when it comes to getting great sound quickly and easily.
