I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the Fender CD60SCE guitar I recently purchased. Although it was sold to me as a brand-new product, the unit I received arrived with multiple visible defects, including scratches and dents, which strongly indicate that it may be an open-box or previously used item.
I have already contacted the after-sales team multiple times; however, the matter remains unresolved. It is highly concerning that such defects were overlooked during the quality control (QC) process, suggesting a lack of proper inspection before dispatch. For your reference, I have attached photographs clearly highlighting the issues.
Given the circumstances, I request an immediate resolution through one of the following:
Replacement of the defective unit with a new, sealed, and flawless product, or
Issuance of a full refund without further delay.
I trust that Fender and its partners value customer satisfaction and product integrity. Therefore, I expect prompt action on this matter to restore confidence in your service and quality standards.
Avoid purchasing this guitar, as you may encounter similar issues over time. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of recommending it to a friend, and they experienced the same problem with their guitar. When reaching out to customer care, they disclaimed any responsibility for the issue.
Writing this review of the Fender CD-60SCE Dreadnought Electro-Acoustic Guitar nearly 3 months after purchasing it from Bajaao.
Delivery:
- I initially received a notification that the guitar would be dispatched a week after the purchase date, which gave me reason to worry. However, that was far from the case and I received the guitar just 2 days later.
- The delivery was in excellent order even though I didn't opt for the extra packaging. Kudos to the Bajaao team!
Guitar:
- I decided to go for the natural color (a change from my usual preference of black). This left me slightly disappointed as the guitar's color looked nothing like the picture and was more of a orangy color.
- Coming to the strings that came with the guitar, they were shrill sounding and appeared to already have rust spots.
- I changed the strings to Ernie Ball Extra Lights and now the guitar sounds great with a good warm tone. It plays well for both rhythm and lead and there was no need to change the action or make any further adjustments.
- The preamp and in-built tuner also work well, though I have yet to get around to buying a better quality amp.
Other:
- Bajaao gave me a very good deal on the guitar. The discount they offered was over the the pre existing highest discount at the time.
- An Allen key was provided, in case I need to make any changes to the action in the future.
- The purchase didn't include a gig bag. It would've been really good if an original Fender bag was provided with the guitar.
All in all, a good experience for my first time purchasing a guitar online.
Highly recommended top class guitar both for beginners as well as professionals. Excellent elegant yet stylish glossy looks, profound sound, neat finishing, quality strings and adjustments. All features work superb. Vendor should have given an option to sell a appropriate cover bag, picks with it instead of giving nothing but just the instrument.
