Sonodyne PM 50 V2 Professional Active Studio Monitor The PM is our newest range of professional active loudspeakers for the producing musician. In home or project studios, for tracking and for mixing, the PM 50V2 is ideal. The enclosure is heavily braced double MDF panels. This renders the cabinet rigid. To add, the integrated isolation base minimises residual vibrations.

The woofer is PP, and the tweeter is silk, both ferro fluid cooled. The biamplifier is Sonodyne Class D design providing 45 W + 45 W for the PM 50V2. On board controls include HF, LF trims and bass roll-off. Gain trim control of -6 dB to +6 dB is also present. For loud and clear reproduction at an exceptional value, the PM Series is an unbeatable option.

Great sounding monitors, at a very good price

This is a solid, powerful nearfield monitor that delivers a punch. Designed and made in India, this is a proud moment for any Indian. The speakers are well built and heavy and this reflects in the bass and mids very well. The highlight of these monitors are the way they reproduce mids. Effortless and clean, vocals and string instruments come through beautifully with a natural resonance to it. The highs while well pronounced and detailed are not very sharp as some of its competitors. This is great for extended periods of listening and mixing without fatigue. I went through all genres including jazz, hip-hop, classical, rock and even some Bollywood thrown in. At no point did I need to use the equalizer, or use the dip switches at the back. Though if you are setting this up against a wall, you may want to roll off the bass somewhat. Speaking of which, bass heads may find the low frequency response slightly low which is expected from a studio monitor. For extended lows, its recommended to invest in a subwoofer. Overall, my verdict is that these are sweet sounding, and very listenable especially if your content is vocal and mids focused. One of the best sounding and musical studio monitors at this price point.
