Sound Devices XL-88 788T Multi-Pin Breakout Cable Connector for AES and Power Overview: The XL-88 Breakout Cable is an optional accessory for the 788T/788T-SSD Digital Recorders It securely connects to the 788T’s rear panel Multi-Function DE-15 connector.

The cable breaks out into four balanced female XLR connectors for AES Inputs 1-8, a balanced XLR male connector for AES Out 5 and 6, a 4-pin Hirose female connector for 10-18 VDC input, and a bare wire sealed with a heat shrink for Logic In and Out Specificatons: DE-15 Male: Molded hood with thumbscrews.

Mates with 788T rear panel DE-15 connector XLR Female: Four balanced AES Inputs 1,2 / 3,4 / 5,6 / 7,8; 27-inch (68 cm).

Wired pin-1 = ground, pin-2 = signal (+), pin-3 = signal (-) XLR Male: One balanced AES Output 5,6; 30-inch (76 cm).

Wired pin-1 = ground, pin-2 = signal (+), pin-3 = signal (-) 4-Pin Hirose Female: Accepts power from 10–18 VDC to power and charge the Li-ion battery; 30-inch (76 cm).

Wired pin-1 = negative (-), pin-4 positive (+) Pin-2 and pin-3 are not connected.

Bare Cable: Bare cable with heat shrink; 30-inch (76 cm) Cut off heat shrink to access Logic In and Logic Out wires.
