Biography
Ram Sampath is a renowned Indian composer and music producer whose career has spanned across advertising, rock music, and Bollywood.
Starting with jingles for brands like Pepsi and Airtel, he gained recognition for his innovative sound in Shaan's hit album Tanha Dil. Ram transitioned to Bollywood with films like Khakee, and his breakout moment came with the 2011 cult hit Delhi Belly, which showcased his ability to blend edgy, contemporary styles with mainstream appeal. He also composed for acclaimed films like Talaash and Raees, and was the musical force behind the socially impactful songs of Satyamev Jayate. Most recently, his film Laapata Ladies is India's official submission to the Oscars 2025.
Ram is known for pushing creative boundaries, and blending traditional and modern influences in his music. He now hopes to inspire aspiring musicians to find their sound and live up to their potential.
