Calling all musicians to S.A.M., Asia’s Premier Music Institute. Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music provides a challenging academic program follows the traditional Indian Gurukula form of Indian classical music pedagogy to teach varied genres of music from across the globe. The Academy seeks to provide music education that builds character and personality, preparing students to enter the music industry as performers, arrangers, songwriters, composers, producers, teachers and more. S.A.M. provides a dynamic, diverse, and comprehensive learning environment to study music. We are here to cultivate new music, interdisciplinary collaborations and new approaches to education and performance. S.A.M., fosters a mature community for musicians and music lovers, providing them with an evolved perspective that transforms their relationship with music.
Programs
Music Performance
The Diploma Program in Music Performance at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music provides you with all the tools necessary for building a career in music as a performer, composer, songwriter, arranger, producer or teacher. The curriculum is mapped with MSCM’s tried and tested syllabus. Students enrolling for the Diploma program are eligible for the ‘Exchange Program’ thus giving them exposure to the global music industry. After completion of the two years, students may transfer their credits to MSCM and complete a Degree in Music Performance.

Music Production
The Diploma Program in Music Production at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music enables students to build a career in audio technology and production. Our meticulously designed curriculum gives wholesome insight into the world of music production and introduces the intricate technicalities of using tools and equipment in order to create music that is creative and innovative. The students will gain experience with current hardware and software for music sequencing, synthesis and music performance practice. This one year program is also designed to include an introduction to music fundamentals, notation and theory through music technology such as MIDI and digital recording.
Foundation Music program
The Foundation Music program prepares you for a successful career in music by paving the way for your entrance into the diploma programs at S.A.M. This fully residential program will teach you the fundamental music knowledge and skills that is essential in starting your professional career in music. This 10-week intensive program will also introduce you to the Carnatic world of music as well as the exciting field of music production that will empower you with the right framework to excel in the music industry as an all rounder. Aspiring musicians who have limited or no formal training in music and those desirous of starting a professional career in music will greatly benefit from this foundation program.
Indian Music Program
The course of study will explore the historical and musical elements that have given Indian Music its inherent qualities. The emphasis will be on the rhythmic and melodic elements that give Carnatic music its distinct appeal. Learning the rudimentary forms that constitute Carnatic music such as Gitam, Jatisvaram and Svarajati will establish a solid base of the art form. The life and works of the great composers such as Saint Purandaradas, Saint Tyagaraja, Muthuswamy Dikshitar and Syama Sastri would be studied to give you an insight to the various periods that led to the evolution and development of this unrivalled South Indian music tradition.

THOMAS JUTH (SWEDEN)
Multiple Grammy Award winning mix engineer, Thomas Juth is based in Berlin as a mixing and recording engineer and music producer. Over the past 10 years Thomas has built up an impressive discography, which includes Latin superstars Jesse and Joy (which won him two Grammy awards), Luis Fonsi, Jamie Cullum, Jason Mraz as well as legends such as Cat Stevens, KT Tunstall, A-ha, Elton John and Paul McCartney and many more popular artists in both the mainstream as well as independent stream.
LUIZA SALES (BRAZIL)
Luiza Sales is a Brazilian singer, composer and educator specializing in Brazilian, Jazz, and Latin American music. She is the first Brazilian to hold a Masters degree in Contemporary Performance from the Berklee College of Music, Valencia campus in 2015. She won the Berklee Lollapalooza scholarship
ESTHER ROJAS (COLOMBIA)
Esther Rojas is an accomplished and multi-faceted musician who plays the bass and is also an arranger, producer and musical director. Esther is a graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. At Berklee, her career as a musical director and producer took a leap as she was chosen to be the co-arranger, co-producer, musical director and bassist for Grammy winning Alejandro Sanz's performance at the Latin Grammy Gala in Las Vegas. Esther was also selected as the arranger, musical director, and bassist for The Future of the Americas Summit hosted by the Clinton Foundation in 2014.
SID JACOBS (U.S.A.)
Sid Jacobs was 7 years old when his fascination with the guitar began. When his family moved to Nevada, Sid obtained a position as guitar instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This made him, at eighteen, the youngest faculty member in the school's music department. He developed the curriculum for the Advanced Bebop and Jazz Guitar course at the Dick Grove School and the Jazz Guitar class at the Musicians Institute (MI) where he continues to teach. Some of the great jazz artists with whom Sid has performed include Harold Land, Eddie Harris, Buddy Montgomery, Joe Diorio, Brad Mehldau, Larry Goldings and Javon Jackson.
KARINA COLIS (MEXICO)
Karina Colis is truly one the worlds most promising Latin American musicians based in New York City. In addition to her skills as a drummer and percussionist, she is also an accomplished vocalist. She has also been honored to perform/collaborate with acclaimed artists Juan Luis Guerra, Thalia (Teletón 2014) , Edmar Castañeda, Esperanza Spalding,percussionist Giovanni Hidalgo. Luisito Quintero, John Benitez and has also share stage with mexican drummer Antonio Sanchez, Claudia Acuña. Armando Manzanero and other acclaimed artist from all over the world.
PEDRO CARNEIRO SILVA (BRAZIL)
Pedro Carneiro Silva is graduated in Brazilian music at UNIRIO, Rio de Janeiro, and post-graduated at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa – ESML (Master’s degree in Jazz performance). Pedro is honored to collaborate with artists such as Mishka Adams (UK/Philippines), Sid Jacobs (USA), Ben Barritt (UK), Fernanda Paulo (Portugal), Jonas Hocherman Septeto (Brazil), Mili Vizcaíno (Spain), Luiza Sales (Brazil), Mira Falk (Germany) and Frederico Cavaliere (Brazil).
SREYAS NARAYANUM (INDIA)
Sreyas Narayanun, who was earlier known as C. B. Ramanarayanan is a Carnatic vocalist of outstanding merit and has been giving concerts in prestigious concert halls in India and abroad. He is an A grade artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan, Chennai. Blessed with a deep, resonant voice which can traverse three octaves, his musical ideas of earned a special place in the innumerable rasikas.
UMAYALPURAM MALI (INDIA)
Mali is a popular mridangam player who learnt from Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer and Umayalpuram Sivaraman. Apart from being a Copeland Fellow, Fulbright Fellow and faculty at Harvard University, he is acknowledged as one of the most accommodative accompanists in the classical music scene and has played with stalwarts like Veena S. Balachandar, Thanjavur S. Kalyanaraman, Flute T. Viswanathan, T. Muktha, Thanjavur Sankara Iyer, Prof. T.N. Seshagopalan Neyveli Santhagopalan. Prof. T.N. Krishnan and M. Chandrasekaran and other reputed names.
