if you work on ableton daws, this one might be the perfect pick for you. The keys are tiny and decent enough, but it lacks that premium feeling. overall i'm pretty satisfied by it but i'm not sure if i should recommend it to anyone or not.I guess, for a bedroom producer it is more than just fine. But for professional use i'd rather suggest you to look out for other controllers.
Pros - Instant looping record ability with ableton session view.Preloaded ableton presets to control ableton effects and vsts.Good for fast creative scoring and looping when compared to its rival as they need to be mapped. ( How many times can one map ?????) Cons - Keys are light action and plastic .. feels cheap. No sustain pedal option No harware arpegiator No pitch bender or modulator.Sometimes causes driver issues.
Pros :1. Portable2. Best MIDI Keyboard for using with Ableton Live3. Excellent KeysCons :1. Instead of Micro USB port there should be Type B port2. No of keys should be at least 32
I am using it since 2 years and it was my first purchase from bajaao and also it is my first MIDI keyboard..! the pads are not useless for those who doesn't play drums on it. they provide many features such as bpm up-down, play, pause, record, etc. in ableton and FL studio. the keys are hard and not for them who wants to practice melodies, thumbs down for that, also the sensitivity is weird and not usable in any way, but if you are a hip hop producer then i will definitely recommend you this as it provides more functionalities compared to other mini midi keyboards.
I have seen several reviews on other websites showing the same problem. I bought the LK MINI MK2 through Bajaao in June 2018. The controller worked very nicely and smoothly with Ableton as expected, since I did my research and found that this one is probably one of the best for beginner music producers like me. After only 2-3 months I came across this weird malfunction where said pads started behaving weirdly, i.e. getting triggered by triggering adjacent pads or without even touching them at all . I contacted Novation who were kind enough to get me in contact with the Indian Distributor who then sent it to their service centre. After "repair" and paying all the shipping costs myself nothing has really changed. My controller is still not functioning properly and I'm guessing it is a major issue in the production line since mine is not the only case showing this problem. I really hope Novation is going to act on this soon.Unfortunately Bajaao does not have the option to upload videos but other websites (which rhyme with "Amazon") do, so I advise you to go check other resellers before you buy.
Works great with most DAW's specially ableton.
If you a beat maker this little guy can make your work flow better
