I absolutely love this guitar. It's a beast of a guitar. The build quality surpasses a lot of guitars much costlier than this. The finish is smooth and is much darker than the one shown in the photo. The hard is smooth and looks much darker than those in the photos. The EMG Retroactive Super 77-7s have good bass response and clarity in the mids and highs; they work great for progressive metal distortion toes as well. Great for playing stuff like Periphery, Animals as Leaders or Dream Theater. Also, the set-up out of the box was beautiful, barely required any fiddling and time to tune it up. An absolute bang for your buck. However, the delivery wasn't too great. I expected to receive a gig bag along with the guitar, which I didn't receive. It's not too big a deal but this has been the first guitar where I haven't received a gig bag. The major issue however was the chipping of paint on the headstock, along with some damage to the point of the headstock. The packaging did not completely secure the guitar in place and the headstock wasn't properly padded. This was also paired with 5 days delay of shipping. Conclusions - Guitar: 9/10 Delivery: 4/10
Cort guitar are cool and sexy, i like their headstock, i have the x2. but only thing i dont like is the logo style because it looks vintage
The guitar arrived perfectly packed and three days before the stipulated time. The action was pretty good out of the box, nevertheless I rechecked the tuning with my tuning pedal, it was almost spot on. As of the quality of the guitar, I'm pleasantly surprised by its quality, the fret ends were nicely cut, the neck is pretty much flat and has a nice satin finish. About the pickups, these EMG Super-77 do sound more versatile than EMG 707, they sound more open and clean up justifiably well for an active pickup. They are undeniably one of the few active pickup that don't sound lifeless like other active pickups. In terms of weight some of my friends have remarked that this guitar is kinda heavy but it's understandable because of its big mahogany body, mahogany tends to be heavy but is beneficial in terms of sustain.
