Fender Player Telecaster 6 String Electric Guitar

Great Guitar. Can’t go wrong with Mexican Fenders. My issue is with how the guitar was set up. The action was too low and the intonation was off.

A Tele for the taking

First of all, Bajaao did a good job sending the Guitar in one piece, though the packing could have been better (I paid extra for packing since I live far from Mumbai). The Guitar itself is amazing, no doubt. A Made in Mexico Fender is as good as an American Standard and way better than an entry level Squier. Ofcourse, one has to keep in mind the price differences too. But why buy a Telecaster you ask? Well, it looks amazing especially the three tone Sunburst and a Tele is the most versatile electric guitar u can buy, don't matter what genre u play, it just hits home. It's got a smooth C profile neck and if u got small hands as I do, you'd have no issues as it's very comfortable to play. As basic as this guitar is, with no bells and whistles whatsoever, just the dual single coils with three way switch and volume and tone knobs can give you a variety of tone possibilities. It's a must buy if you are looking for authentic Fender tones from your Guitar. I would have liked to give 5 stars for this but it's a four since my guitar(may not happen with you) had a slight issue with the volume knob, it was not turning smoothly and made a creaking noise. Now this is probably due to some dust and dirt settling inside the knobs and maybe requires some cleaning(WD-40 spray for that) and in time it will turn smoothly but Bajaao claims to have checked this item before sending. Well that's where the one star gets deducted, since they could have done a better job.
Anyways, if you are someone who is thinking of buying a Tele, don't think, just buy!

Classic Fender Tele. Nails all the basics, and then some more.

I am writing this review after approximately 6 months of playing. This is a great guitar. period. There aren't any fancy bells and whistles here (cmon, it's a tele) but it nails all the basic elements. The build quality is a definite step-up from the old mexican standard and a clear league above the squire classic vibe series no matter what the internet says. My particular piece had low-action and excellent playability right out of the box. Maybe I got lucky, but I'm willing to bet that an instrument of such quality will at most need a cursory set-up/maintainence as per your taste before it's ready to go. The neck is beautiful. The satin finish maple feels excellent on the hands and combined with the modern c shape makes it feel like a guitar twice its price. The tuning machines are nothing special but they are enough to the guitar in tune through long (sometimes very rough) playing sessions. This guitar also A+ sustain thanks to the fixed-bridge string-through body construction of the guitar. The pickups were honestly a revelation - it has stunning versatility for such a limited configuration. The neck pickup has fat, smooth quality, which is great for neo-soul, prog, clean leads etc. The bridge pickup has the signature old-school tele-twang making it perfect for rock, blues, country, funk etc. Stick it in the middle-position dial down the tone and you'll even get a rather decent jazz tone (which is saying something for a trebly-single coil tele). The pickup combination gives you a perfect mix of classic and modern. The electronics are also on point. The volume and tone-knobs are super-responsive the pickup selector feels robust. The shielding must also be top-notch because there is minimum hum even when overdriven, which is usually a huge complain with single coil guitars.Final Word: This is a well-built and nails all the basic things you want in an electric guitar. This is a classic tele - no frills - but it's extraordinarily versatile and fun to play.

When Nothing else would do!

If you need the Tele Twang then only a tele would cut it!.The neck is fat, and 9.5 radius is great for chording.Mine needs a little bit of fret job/ leveling in higher register as I play Hard. Also factory action was a bit low for my liking as I bend quite a bit , so needed higher action which makes this guitar sing.Very Happy with it. The stock pickups are great.and so is everything else that matters.
