I received the much-awaited Lightpad block M on the expected date of delivery, as I unboxed the package, the box looked new but it had few marks of staple pin holes on one end, it felt as if it was already opened and repacked, I found some dust particles under the round sticker tape that used to seal the package, this made me wonder if I received old used equipment, however, the doubt was killed once I saw the unit itself. It was a new unit.
After charging it, I used it with the noise app, it worked fine (while using via Bluetooth latency is a real deal, guys )
there is a lack of information about the ways to use it with any DAW, I tried using it with Ableton live lite [ both in case of Windows OS and Mac Os ] that comes with the free software bundled with the box, while using it with Ableton the lightpad block automatically triggers the controls in Ableton while you are trying to play some midi notes (even though there is nothing that has been assigned in specific), there is no video or readable document that demonstrates or helps us to understand how it can be used, it becomes frustrating at times, though they say that the roli dashboard controls the light pad block but when you switch to a daw or plugin it automatically changes its function, it is very frustrating and confusing as there is a lack of information about the product, the sound packs are really high-quality and worth the price you pay but the overall experience is kind of very frustrating that hampers your workflow. there have been times when you see latency even after connecting it with usb cable and it is kind of difficult to connect the lightpad block with your windows system via Bluetooth,
there is a lot that roli needs to address and fix or at least educate the users about their product. I am happy to own a roli product but not at all satisfied with the deliverable potential that can be drawn into your projects with these bugs and lack of information on how to make the best use of the equipment
Gradually A line was forming in the middle of the pad
It is shocking that this product I have received from your store is used and defective. This is fraud. I want my money back. You can take the used faulty product back. I am angry with bajaao.com for having sent a used product.
