I used to play djembe when I was studying in US and I used to love it. Sadly I couldn't bring it with me after I came back. A cajon excited me even then but it wasn't feasible to have multiple percussion instruments. And then recently I saw a video of the circle multi drum. Saw some reviews and was completely sold. Ordered it from Bajaao and received it after 18 days of placing the order. Yeah that is a very long wait but Bajaao was very precise on the timeline. No chakkar, straight answers. Really appreciate it on Bajaao's part. I received it today and my hands are already sore from playing this fantastic instrument. I have never played a cajon and let me tell you, from whatever little percussion instruments I have dabbled with, playing the cajon has been the most fulfilling and exhilarating. I have fallen in love with it in such a short time. The build quality is top notch, looks amazing too. The bass is nice, not as deep as a djembe but still pretty good. The snare sound on the edges is really cool and has a nice ring to it. It has a very good size. It is quite portable, you can't fit it in a suitcase unless you plan to take nothing else but for local gigs, it would be very easy to carry around.I have played it conga style, around my neck as a timbao but my favorite style is playing it as a cajon. The fluidity of the movement, ease of posture, makes it super fun to play. Next I am planning to get some accessories for it. Looking forward to years of joy playing this cajon. Don't think about it, just buy it, you won't regret it.
