Note: I've ordered and used the 4/4 bow, but considering the Granada 3/4 and 4/4 are very similar and actually share a common box (as written on the box that enclosed my 4/4 bow), I reckon this could help 3/4 users too,Before I talk about the bow, it needs to be said, that most violinists are paranoid about having something as fragile as a bow MAILED to them, as i was, but incredibly I've received my bow in perfect condition. The packaging was incredibly tough, yards of bubble-wrap enclosing the bow's box, and then placed withing an extremely rigid extra long cardboard tube which was barricaded with thermocol on either side. Nothing could damage this package.Now onto the bow. The build quality is decent for the price, although the finishing of the paint along the screw leaves something to be desired. The frog of the bow appeared slightly unstable, but became quite steady once the bow was optimally tightened. The silver winding rotates about it's own axis which shouldn't really happen, but it doesn't affect the bow in any way. The colouring is very good.The description states 'genuine horsehair', but compared to my older bow with Mongolian horse hair, the Granada appears slightly less lustrous, and more synthetic, but I can't provide an informed verdict about it. The bow rosins up perfectly, (it came un-rosined unlike some bows which are pre-rosined) and doesn't shed much dust.The tone achieved is almost identical to my older bow, which was far more expensive, and the feel of the bow feels very familiar, just like it's already been broken in.At this price, it would make a brilliant backup bow for emergencies, and a surprisingly robust main bow if you're on a tight budget.
