- Amazing production capabilities, once you adapt to the Maschine workflow.- Compact and portable form factor. Can easily carry it around for jams/gigs.- The pads are one of the best I have come across till date, better than the entry level MPD models. Accidental double triggering is not an issue with these. Touch sensitivity of pads and the velocity curve can be adjusted depending on your playing style. By default the pads are very uniformly pressure sensitive which translates the playing into a very expressive performance. This can be further tuned by adjusting touch sensitivity and velocity curves within the Maschine 2 software.- The pads and buttons are all made of high quality, smooth-touch rubber material. These won't degrade over time for sure.- The pads are all RGB backlit and light up depending on the colour assigned to them based on the functionality involved.- The LCD display is small but works well for almost everything. It can be set to be quite bright and high contrast, so no readability issues even in the darkest of surroundings.- All the buttons give a super sturdy feeling with a nice tactile response. No false presses.- The knob is a stepped rotary control and has a push button functionality. Works great.- It's housed in a sturdy chassis, with top plate being metal and the other sides being a rugged composite plastic material which almost feels like metal. - Has all functionality as the bigger Maschine models. This one does not have as many dedicated buttons and controls like the bigger Maschine Mk2/Mk3 or Maschine Studio. But that can be compensated by learning the ins and outs of it and being patient with a little bit of menu-diving. Its all about adapting to a particular workflow. But, it is not severely limiting at all. Especially, if you're on a tight budget. It is a pretty good deal.- You get a license for Komplete 11 Select and the Maschine 2 software, after you register the hardware device in your NI account.'
