A monster wah!

Morley is known for it's high quality products and this pedal is no different. The body is cold rolled steel so, it's really durable and roadworthy if you're a gigging musician. Now, a major problem with the cry baby wah is that you have to step on it to engage the switch and only then your wah becomes operational. There are no such hassles with this wah. It has a switchless design and works on optical sensing or something like that. So you just step on it and it becomes operational. This wah has true bypass which is always a good thing. So, when its disengaged, it won't affect your tone in anyway. It also has an inbuilt 20dB gain boost, which is awesome when you are taking leads, which is when the wah is mainly used anyway. I personally find 20dB way too much so I tend to keep it a little below 12 o clock. When you are playing on a clean channel and if you have the gain boost dialed in, and you step on the wah, you will get a sweet overdriven tone out of it. That's how good it is!This wah really shines in a high gain situation. You get that awesome Mark Tremonti lead sound out of it, which is the point of a signature wah anyway. This is not really good for blues though.Mark got rid of those high frequencies you get when you fully engage a vintage cry baby which hurt your ears, and boosted those mids. So even when this wah is fully open, you'll get a sweet lead tone out of it. The only complaint I had with this wah that the cover of the battery compartment is loose and doesn't hold on it's own. Nothing some tape cannot fix.All things considered, it is an awesome buy! I'd buy another one if this gets stolen which is highly probable (gets alot of looks from fellow guitar players)It looks badass on a pedalboard!
