D'Addario strings are one those strings which provide standard international quality strings at a reasonable price and this EZ920 string is no exception. As it's 0.12 (Medium Light) string, I feel it's more suitable for Fingerstyle kind of playing and also for Rhythm guitarist but I'm not saying that one can't play solo on these strings. Yes, you can...It's all about personal preference regarding tone and playing comfort. I'm more of a basic Fingerstyle kind of player so I like little medium gauge string coz I get the full rounded bass tone I like on medium gauge as they are little fatter compared to the Light gauge ones. But only dislike I have with D'Addario strings is that may be due to Humidity and other Temperature differences (as it's imported from the USA) Rust gets hold of it pretty quickly compared to other Local/Chinese brands like Alice, etc. So, I have to change these within 1-2 months, while Alice strings last for around 2-3 months. But, Alice doesn't give the Playing comfort and Tone satisfaction which D'Addario showcase. So, I will suggest that if you have 2 acoustic guitars then use the guitar with Alice strings for Practise and save the other guitar with D'Addario strings for important occasions like for Gigging purpose. But if you have money to spare then always go for quality strings like D'Addario, Elixir, Fender, Gibson, Martin, etc. Happy playing :) !!!
