I have tried this pickup in both the neck & bridge position and have settled on using it in the bridge position.In the neck position I found it too smooth & dark sounding with excessive midrange frequencies. A far away sound from what a neck strat position usually sounds like.Now in the bridge position it sounds great. Not overly bright like a true fender single coil but sill bright enough & the output is also like that of a P90 pickup. Not as powerful as most full size bridge humbuckers but hot enough to balance with the neck & middle single coil pickups.I haven't used it in the middle position & can't comment on how it would sound in that spot.I wish more dimarzio pickups were available to choose from, would have liked to try the Air Norton S, hopefully in the future.
