Definitely worth the extra price over that normal slinky strings.
I have been using Ernie ball for a while now and as i expected these strings didn't disappoint. i would advise to use them only if you are looking for a heavy tone with dropped tunings. these strings are perfect for drop A. they begin to get tight around drop B# so i wouldn't suggest if you're looking for standard tuning. they start to become floppy after drop F so keep that in mind. Overall the strings deliver a pretty good performance for both clean and over driven tones. they are a bit on the higher side of string prices but investing in them is a good idea even if it means going a couple 100 bucks extra
