(Daily 10AM - 7PM)
I was doubtful of two things- the open box condition the clean tones of the Fluence pickups.
Mr Abishek D took the pains to send me lots of pics of the guitar and explained that a A stock is not really damaged..
Not to mention all thw inputs given about a couple of alternative guitars I was looking at in this process. He was objective and helpful. I even tarried over thr purchase over three months, not being able to decide on something so expensive online, virtually.
Now coming to the guitar itself- it is beautiful, a stunner. The quality is good.. I've never considered an ESP before, but tis is good.
The sounds are good too. Warm, thick tones on a Fender Mustang amp, set to Bassman emulation.. did not have time to try other amps, but am really happy with the tones. The volume rolled off is good too for a different sound..
The setup could have been better as i would prefer a lower action. But the neck is great (one of my main reasons for getting a new guitar- my older guitar had too wide a neck), and not too wide. It is thickly lacquered and feels good.
The volume controls seem wired reverse, with the first knob for the bridge and the second for the neck... do not know how it is supposed to be on this Les Paul type guitar.
Didnot have much time with the guitar yet.. but initial impressions are very good.. no regrets for the 67odd thousands spent. It looks very good thanks to the flame maple top and bindings.. very Les Paul ish. I did not want to buy the Epiphones since they are all made in China.
Once again again a thanks to the great Bajaao staff.
The packing was good too. No damage, though i live out of the way, in rural Odisha.
