I am more familiar with guitars with rosewood/mahogany back, since I have a Taylor with a layered rosewood, and a Crafter with solid mahogany. So I was a little apprehensive about the walnut back on this guitar, but the guitar turned out to have a pretty good bass, somewhat deeper than mahogany but less complex than rosewood. The construction and finish were faultless, and the guitar looks pretty. The action was pretty good right out of the box. Tuners had a little slippage, but they keep the tuning well enough. Although, I might consider changing them at a later time. This guitar has a pretty good tone, and a decent bass. I am sure it will sound even better as it opens up. Highly recommended if you have limited budget. This guitar is ideal for fingerpicking, and has elevated mid-frequencies ideal for blues.
