Ibanez RGD2127FX Prestige Series 7-String Electric Guitar - Invisible Shadow

The Ibanez RGD Prestige RGD2127 solidbody electric is the guitar maker's ultimate 7-string metal axe. It all starts with the distinctively sculpted, resonant, and beautifully balanced RGD body, which is primed for players with attitude. That's you, right? The RGD2127 gives you an alarmingly fast 5-piece maple/wenge Wizard-7 Prestige neck and a flatter-then Kansas rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets. Turn up the heat with this guitar's outstanding hot humbucking pickups, custom-designed for down tuning. Get your hands on the magnificent Ibanez RGD2127 and prepare to shred!

RGD Prestige: performance and style

Ibanez put production 7-string guitars on the map, largely thanks to the effortless playability of their Wizard II-7 neck. RGD Prestige takes that 7-string mojo to the max! The RGD2127's wicked fast Wizard-7 Prestige neck lets you execute lighting-fast runs, arpeggios, and hammer-ons with silken ease, but it still gives you the substance you need for comfortable chord fretting. The Ibanez RGD2127 also gives you a ton of tone - and scorching hot looks to boot!

Tight End R 7 bridge for absolute tuning stability

The RG7421 sports Ibanez's Tight End R 7 bridge, which means no more tuning hassles due to a floating vibrato tailpiece. Your lowered tunings will be more stable and the string tension will feel looser. And when you change tunings at the gig you'll be ready to rock - without messing with the vibrato or loosening locking nuts.

Massive tonal range

With the Ibanez RGD2127's two custom humbucking pickups designed to handle down tuning, you'll have a massive reservoir of tone on tap. The low end on this guitar will surprise you. Although it's definitely a metal machine, the RGD2127's fast playability and tonal variety make it a great guitar for almost any style.

7 string Devil

The extra scale length is amazing. I have big hands so it makes it more comfortable for shredding, and it makes downtuning very easy. this is a phenomenal guitar. It has a great feel to it and it has an extremely comfortable body. The pickups sound alright, but if you're really going for great tone, swap them with some Bare Knuckles.

Ibanez outclasses

If you are metal guitarist, do not think twice. Just blindly opt for the RGD2127Z.This has to be the best 7 string made by Ibanez. Iv played and had a couple of Ibanez and Schecter 7 strings. All the guitars sound great, but after spending a few days with this baby, I realized that the RGD suits me perfectly. A lot of guitar players have mentioned about this.

The scale length is perfect in between a standard and a baritone. Very tight sounding and the attack is precise. Playing on a wizard 7 neck feels as if your fingers are on cocaine and you can play harder and better.

Yeah the pickups are weak. But the basswood gives you the freedom to switch to any other pickups and still get a monstrous tone. I installed DiMarzio Diactivator set and boy this does help me to achieve my tone. The electronics and hardware are A+. I would have given it a 5/5 but the price and pickups did disappoint me a little bit.
