It's said it comes with Aquila Nylgut strings but it's a lie mine didn't come with that strings and got broken within 30 day and i having hard time finding the right strings
I wanted a string instrument that would be easy to learn. For me a guitar was tough to learn so i wanted a ukulele. But the standard uke didn't have enough bass i wanted. So after much RnD online i settled for a Baritone Uke. The best part is that with this one instrument you can play any guitar song from guitar tabs, just have to ignore the 5th and 6th strings. Chord shapes on Baritone Uke are also similar to guitar, again here you have to ignore the 5th & 6th strings. It sounds just like a quarter shaped acoustic guitar and has bass tones just you wont get with the other ukes. This will make future transitioning to a regular acoustic guitar way simpler. One more advantage is that if i capo the 5th fret, the instrument now becomes a standard ukulele (the tuning becomes GCEA with a low G) , which means this can function as two instruments and i do not have to buy another standard tuned uke if i want one.
the Lanikai Baritone Uke has a good build and sounds very clear and beautiful.
It comes with Aquila Nylgut strings. Tuning is DGBE. Fretboard is comfortable even for a beginner like me.
As it did not come with a bag, i purchased the Bajaao baritone Ukulele 12mm padded gig bag and it fits perfectly and has a thich thich padding for protection.
It comes with a instructional booklet from Lanikai but it is not for Baritone uke. However that is not an issue as there are loads of free and payed resources online.
